Welcome!
I am a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Analyst, and I'm all about web maps.
My interest in programming begain with understanding the utility that Python provides in GIS, namely task automation. To become familiar with programming, I took an introductory programming class on C++. When the semester ended, Udacity announced its partnership in the Grow with Google Scholarship Challenge, and I immediately applied, knowing that JavaScript was a key language in creating interactive web maps.
As a result of this program, I have learned so much about web development. Front-end, back-end, and full-stack are not esoteric concepts to me anymore. Thanks to the amazing community of Udacity scholars, I know what steps I should take next once this program is over.
My goals no longer seem impossible to reach. I feel confident in saying I will one day be a GIS Developer.
